Serta iComfort CF4000 Hybrid Plush Twin XL Mattress

First, anything would be better than our previous mattress, so yes this matress felt soft and comfy. And ginormous in width and height. Second, even though we got this on sale, I feel the price was pretty high overall. Third, and my biggest issue, my expectations and what I was led to believe is different than the reality of this mattress. We decided to go all in and by the top dollar version of this matress (level 4000, plush). This boasted of "cooling effects and design", "pressure point relief", and "ultra plush soft". I also read a ton of reviews stating how wonderful and amazing, how cooling it was, how soft is was, the best matress they have ever had the privilege of knowing. Let me give you more of the reality of this mattress. 1) "Cooling" is different from "not hot". I still get warm in bed and have to turn occasionally throughout the night, and that is with the most breathable sheets I could find and a lightweight quilt (with additional blanket over feet). If I try to sleep on my back to long I do get warm and turn to my side. However, it is not "hot", like every other memory foam I've laid on. From the description and reviews, maybe I was expecting breezes coming through. 2) Not sure I should have paid extra for the "pressure point" feature. In Serra's defense, I've not tried the level 3000, so maybe what I bought is better than that one. As a female, I don't feel a strain in my top hip when laying on my side for a long time. But, my shoulders are where my real issue is and I can't say it's relieved my issues. Because I have to lay on my side because of getting warm, I can still wake up needing to stretch my chest (breastbone popping) and have a crammed shoulder feeling, creating clicks and needing stretching. Again, way better than our cheap, firm Serta mattress, but from reviews and description I was imagining laying on clouds of heaven, relieving my issues. 3) "Plush" was misleading. "Soft" is more accurate. When I hear "plush", I imagine a wonderful sinking, an OVER-abundance of softness, lushness, comfiness. This mattress is great and soft, there is a sinking and it is comfy. Definitely. But not plush. A reminder: this mattress is a hybrid (which is what my chiropractor recommend). So there is a certain support and firmness that will come from the springs no mattress what. If you want what I was envisioning, maybe try Serta's straight out memory foam and see how it goes. Otherwise, plan on this matress being slightly firmer than you expect, and order accordingly. But don't get me wrong, it's definitely comfy. 4) Adding all these things together, I felt this was a pricey purchase that under-delivered for my expectations. That being said, I still love getting into bed every night, and it does feel like a luxury matress. I love slowly and luxuriously waking up every morning on it. Overall I am happy we purchased it. But wanted potential buyers to understand the reality of this matress (for me) verses what the reviews led me to expect. That was quite a hefty price for a matress Would I buy it again? Absolutely. Buying through Serta, I believe you do have a long return window if you want to try it out.

Bought this mattress new within 6 months it sunk down about 3 inches. Have to grab sides to pull self out of bed. Trying to get some help from company I bought it from. They took measurements and now saying will have to measure in a month. Between my husband and myself we weight about 300lb together. Would not recommend this mattress

After having slept on the I comfort memory foam and loving it my husband and I purchased the new guy comfort hybrid in October 2019 it has now been about 18 months and I have to say sleeping on this mattress is like sleeping on the road with potholes. I have had two back surgeries and all I want is a good nights sleep which I never get from this mattress I feel like I’m either sleeping uphill or downhill or in a hole it is by far the absolute worst buy my husband and I have ever made. My back hurts so bad when I wake up in the morning I could just cry. we would never recommend this mattress to anyone

Since my innerspring mattress was almost 20 years old, I was in search of a new one. Both my hubby and I have back problems and decided to look into the foam mattresses. I am so impressed with the Serta iComfort CF4000 with the gel memory foam. Even though it's a firm mattress, it is so comfortable with the top layer of memory foam. It seems to mold right around my body and we both get a good night's sleep and wake up feeling refreshed and no morning back pain. This mattress is over 13" deep and with the memory foam when I move while in bed it doesn't bother hubby and the foam goes right back to the original shape. If you tend to sweat at night, this mattress removes the excess heat from your body with the cooling technology and carbon fibers to help give you a much more comfortable and restful sleep. I am so impressed with the quality, the construction and overall comfort of this Serta iComfort mattress and highly recommend to anyone looking for a new mattress.

We got this mattress for our son. He is very hot natured and this mattress keeps him very cool! I tried it out and immediately felt the cool radiating from it. This mattress is made with great quality!! It is plush while still being pretty firm. Everyone in the family that has tried it, has said they slept much better, than on any of our previous mattresses.
